Sisterhood

We talk a lot about how to be in relationship with men, but we don’t spend a lot of time talking about how to be in relationship with other women.

I have heard from so many women that it is challenging being in sisterhood because we all have been hurt by sisterhood at some point in our lives. Whether that was elementary, highschool, college, in the workplace, we have felt it is not safe to be vulnerable and in connection.

The process of healing these past wounds and hurt takes time, and a willingness to want to change old patterns of sisterhood. I’ve found it is extremely worth it on the other side. Having safe spaces with other women to share openly about the ups and downs in life, to be celebrated without fear of judgment or being “too much”, to truly take the mask off and just be freely ourselves.

Realizing that we aren’t alone.
